九、Participants: Limited to individuals aged 15 and above, physically and mentally healthy, with sufficient stamina and confidence to complete the ride within the designated time. Participants under 18 years of age must still download a parental consent form and send it to the event organizer's email at service@eventpal.com.tw before the registration deadline.

 

十、Declaration of Participation: Participants guarantee their physical and mental health and agree to take full responsibility for any accidents that occur due to personal factors during the event. The organizer bears no responsibility for any incidents.

  • 1.The event will use disposable timing chips, and the chip fee will not be refunded after the race.

  • 2.Vehicles must have fully functional front and rear brakes.

  • 8.For group registrations of 30 people or more, the organizer will provide 1 rest tent on the event day; for 60 people or more, 2 tents will be provided, and so on.

  • To promote charity, a charity category is established for this event. The funds raised for charity will be deducted from the event costs, and the remaining amount will be donated in cash or used to purchase equivalent items for vulnerable groups.

※ The closing time at the finish line is precisely calculated to be within 6 hours after the starting gun.
※ Participants who are unable to reach the finish line within the closing time are advised to follow the alternative route as directed by the staff (signage along the route and staff members at important intersections will provide guidance), either returning to the event venue or boarding the support vehicle for transportation back.
※ Participants who are closed out midway will have the word "[Reference]" appear next to their ranking on the results certificate.
※ The locations of aid stations and distance markers are provided for reference only, and their actual placement may be adjusted as needed.
※ Mobile medical aid units will be stationed along the route to ensure the safety of participants.

十五、Registration Period: 
       Online registration is available from now until 14th August, 2024 at 23:59 (GMT+8). Registration will be closed once the maximum capacity is reached. 
       ※ Participants who fail to make payment within 3 days after completing the registration process may have their eligibility for participation revoked. 
       ※ Once the registration process is completed, no requests for name changes will be entertained for any reason. 

 

十六、Registration Rules:
    • Please verify the accuracy of the registered participant's name, date of birth, ID number, and gender during registration. Falsifying information may result in unfairness in the competition. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the participant's eligibility if untrue information is discovered before the competition. If false information is discovered after the competition, the participant's results will be canceled, and any prizes (including medals, certificates, prize money, or gifts) must be returned. The participant may not object, and their ranking and awards will be filled in sequence by others.
    • Please fill in the registration information carefully. Once the registration process is completed, no requests for changing the competition category or refunds will be entertained.
    • Failure to pay the registration fee or incomplete payment will be considered as an incomplete registration process, and no objections will be accepted.
    • After completing the registration and payment, the clothing size cannot be changed. If the clothing size is not selected during registration, the organizer will provide size L clothing by default, and no size change service will be provided. The color of the clothing will be provided randomly.
    • The event will be based on the order of completion of online registration, and registration will be closed when full capacity is reached. The "registration deadline" will be announced simultaneously on the event's official website.

    • Individuals under the age of 16 are not eligible for registration. For individuals aged 15 to under 18, please provide a parental consent form along with the registration.

    • Group leaders can also serve as participants, but emergency contacts cannot be the same as the participants to ensure contactability in case of emergencies during the event.
    • For groups of two or more, please register as a group, and make sure to provide the leader's name and address for mailing purposes.
    • The registration system is linked to the ID verification system, preventing duplicate registrations by the same individual. Please refrain from asking others to register on your behalf.
    • Registration details can be modified if payment has not been made. Once payment is completed, modifications cannot be made, so please carefully review the registration details before making payment.
    • Each registration is associated with a unique virtual account, verified by identity. Different registrations cannot use the same virtual account for payment. Please ensure the correct amount is paid; insufficient payments will result in the registration remaining unpaid. Any excess payments will be refunded, with the processing fee borne by the registrant.


十七、Registration Method: All participants are required to register by mail. There will be no on-site registration on the day of the event.

  • 1. The organizer will mail the registration materials via parcels one to two weeks before the event. Please ensure to provide the correct mailing address (do not use postal boxes). In case of incomplete addresses or failed delivery due to no one being available to sign, resulting in returned parcels, no additional delivery attempts will be made. Once registration is completed, please keep the race number sticker safe as replacements will not be issued for lost ones.
  •  
  • 2. Receiving the participation materials indicates completion of registration. Participants should gather at the event venue before the event day. On the event day, there will be no on-site registration or distribution of participation materials. Any discrepancies or missing items must be reported at least three days before the event, otherwise, they will be considered lost.
  •  
  • 3. Pre-event materials such as commemorative shirts and race bibs (including chips) must be carefully kept as replacements will not be provided for lost items. Participants must bring their race bibs (including chips) on the event day as no replacements will be issued on-site.
  •  
  • 4. For participants from outlying islands or foreign countries, materials can be collected at the event service area on the event day (handling fees for materials will be calculated according to the fee schedule).
  •  
  • 5. Participants without race bibs on the event day will automatically lose their eligibility to participate and will not be allowed on the event route. Referees have the authority to disallow participants without race bibs from proceeding.

 

十九、Payment Methods

      On the payment machine homepage, click on "Payment".→Select "Member Top-up Payment".→Choose 
      "活動咖".→Agree to "Read Terms and Conditions".→Enter the "Payment Code".→Confirm the "Payment Number".→Verify the "Payment Amount and Item".→Print the payment slip.→Proceed to the counter to make payment within 10 minutes. (Please note: A handling fee of NT$30 will be charged for each transaction under NT$20,000 when paying at convenience stores. This fee is to be borne by the payer.)

    • Please complete the bank account linking setup on the JKOPay app before proceeding.
    • Currently, for online store transactions, JKOPay only accepts payments from linked bank accounts and JKOPay balance accounts. Credit card payments are not yet available.

    • For payments made with a credit card, the payment deadline for orders is three hours. Please make payment as soon as possible within three hours of successful registration to avoid any loss of rights due to order expiration.
    • (Please note: A handling fee of 3% will be charged for credit card payments, to be borne by the payer.)

 

二十、Refund Application Procedures:
    • If the event cannot be held due to reasons beyond the control of the organizer, the organizer may reschedule the event or refund the registration fee after deducting NT$200 per person as handling and administrative fees. (Administrative fees will be announced separately after calculation.)
    • If the event cannot be held due to reasons attributable to the organizer, the organizer shall reschedule the event or refund the full registration fee. If the event is rescheduled and participants are unwilling to participate or request a refund, the organizer shall refund the full registration fee.
    • ※ Please inform us of your cancellation and refund request via email. Contact Eventpal customer service (service@eventpal.com.tw) with the subject line: "[Event Name] Refund Application, Order Number & Name(s) of the Refund Applicant(s)", and provide a photo of the refund account. We will process your refund accordingly.
    • For participants who request cancellation and refund within seven days from the day after payment until the registration deadline set by the organizer, the organizer may deduct a 20% handling fee and administrative fee before refunding the remaining registration fee.
For participants who request cancellation and refund after the aforementioned period but before the event-related materials are dispatched, the organizer may deduct a 40% handling fee and administrative fee before refunding the remaining registration fee.
For participants who request cancellation and refund after the event-related materials are dispatched, the organizer may refuse to refund the registration fee. However, participants who are unable to attend the event due to the following reasons may provide supporting documents to apply for cancellation and refund, and the organizer shall refund 50% of the registration fee:

1.Natural or man-made disasters.
 

2.Traffic disruption.
 

3.Military service or compulsory education summons.
 

4.Injury, illness, or pregnancy.
 

5.Funeral of a spouse or first-degree relative of the participant.
 

6.Other reasons stipulated by the organizer.

Contact Eventpal customer service (service@eventpal.com.tw) with the subject line: "[Event Name] Refund Application, Order Number & Name(s) of the Refund Applicant(s)", and provide a photo of the refund account. We will process your refund accordingly.

 

 

二十一、Prohibited and Violation Items: (Violators will be disqualified, and their results will not be counted.)

  • 1.Interchanging chips, wearing someone else's bib or chip, or carrying two chips per person, all violate the rules of the event and will result in disqualification, with all results not being considered.
  •  
  • 2.Participants who fail to properly wear their bib (chip) causing their identity to be unidentifiable will be prohibited from entering the finish line by the finish line referee.
  •  
  • 3.Failure to follow the guidance of referees, volunteers, or any event staff.
  •  
  • 4.Participants who seek assistance from others or deviate from the designated route, such as by using vehicles, rather than completing the entire event under their own power.
  •  
  • 5.Violation of the spirit and ethics of sports, such as fighting, insulting referees or event staff, engaging in improper behavior, spreading rumors or false statements, or engaging in behavior that could tarnish the reputation of the event.
  •  
  • 6.It is strictly forbidden for non-registered individuals to participate in the race on behalf of registered participants, or for registered participants to sell or transfer their registration privately. Any confirmed cases of proxy participation will result in the invalidation of results, and the names of both the proxy participant and the registered participant will be publicly announced online. (Other participants are encouraged to report specific cases.)
  •  
  • 7.Participants who fail to have their chip detected at checkpoint sensors or fail to carry their token will be disqualified, and no objections will be accepted.
  •  
  • 8.Participants who abandon the race or fail to surrender their chip after route changes.

二十二、Dispute Resolution for Events and Results:
    • Event Disputes: Participants may not question referees on the spot during the event. Referees' decisions are final, and appeals cannot be made on-site.
    • Result Disputes: If participants have any objections to their results, they should apply for verification and correction to the timing team of the organizer, and the decision of the chief referee shall be final.
    • Appeal Procedure: Disputes arising from the event must be raised to the organizer within 30 minutes of the announcement of results for each category. Participants must also submit a deposit of NT$1,000, which will be issued a receipt by the competition team. Please keep it safe. All appeals will be determined by the adjudication committee, and if the adjudication committee determines that the appeal is unreasonable, the deposit will be forfeited.

 

二十三、Emergency Contingency Measures:
(一)Emergency Medical Plan: Safety maintenance and contingency planning are the most crucial aspects of the event. A comprehensive safety plan can swiftly resolve issues and minimize injuries.

  • 1.All participants are covered by Public Liability Insurance and Travel Insurance at the event.
  •  
  • 2.Professional medical units will be stationed on-site.
  •  
  • 3.Establishment of an emergency medical contact network - to coordinate with local medical units for the fastest emergency response.
  •  
  • 4.The main medical team will be assisted by a professional medical group to ensure the personal safety of all participants on the event route and at the main venue.


(二)Rain Contingency Plan:

  • 1.In the event of a typhoon or natural disaster, information regarding event postponement or cancellation will be announced through the event's official website platform.
  •  
  • 2.If the weather forecast indicates a higher probability of rain on the day of the event one week prior to the race, additional tents will be provided at the event venue as needed.

 

二十四、Insurance Explanation:

  • 1. Please ensure to fill in each field of the registration form accurately and completely. Any errors or omissions that result in the loss of insurance coverage are the responsibility of the participant.
  •  
  • 2. For proxies or transfers, accidents may result in the inability to obtain insurance coverage. Relevant individuals should bear the corresponding legal responsibilities. Please be mindful of this.
  •  
  • 3. Participants are advised to assess their condition on the day of the event and participate within their capabilities. It is recommended to get adequate sleep the night before the event and have breakfast at least 2 hours before departure. The organizer will provide necessary emergency medical assistance on-site. Please note that pre-existing conditions are not covered by insurance, and Public Liability Insurance only covers injuries resulting from accidents.
  •  
  • 4. The organizer has taken out Public Liability Insurance for VIPs, referees, volunteers, and participants for this event, in accordance with the regulations specified in the document issued by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of China on November 2, 2015, under the reference number 1040823601.
  •  
  • 5. The coverage scope of Public Liability Insurance includes bodily injury, death, or property damage to third parties caused by accidental events occurring to the insured person during the insurance period. When a claim for compensation is made against the insured person, the insurance company is responsible for compensating the insured person according to the legal obligations.
  •  
  • 6. Special exclusions from coverage include:

 Sports injuries caused by personal illness.
    • Symptoms resulting from personal physical conditions or cardiovascular conditions, such as shock, heart conditions, diabetes, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, altitude sickness, epilepsy, dehydration, etc. Claims related to symptoms caused by pre-existing conditions are not covered by the insurance. Public Liability Insurance only compensates for injuries resulting from external accidents.
    • Participants with a medical history or conditions mentioned above are advised to carefully consider their safety and consider purchasing personal accident insurance. 
    • Individuals with the following medical conditions or medical history are considered high-risk for sudden death. It is recommended to consult a physician for professional judgment and avoid participating in the event if advised against:
       *Unexplained chest discomfort (chest tightness, chest pain)
       *Unexplained difficulty breathing
       *Unexplained dizziness
       *Sudden loss of consciousness
       *Hypertension (>140/90 mm Hg)
       *Heart disease
       *Kidney dysfunction
       *Diabetes
       *High cholesterol (total cholesterol > 240mg/dL)
       *Family history of heart disease (first-degree relative had heart disease or sudden death before the age of 60)
       *Epilepsy

 

二十五、Please note the following:

  • 1. The event will proceed as scheduled in case of rain, unless official announcements declare class suspension or postponement. In the event of a typhoon warning or natural disaster, the organizer reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the race route. If the event is postponed or canceled due to a natural disaster, a processing fee of NT$200 will be deducted from the registration fee for refunds.
  •  
  • 2. Cyclists are prohibited from overtaking lead vehicles and must follow the instructions of traffic control personnel. At traffic lights, cyclists must stop or proceed according to on-site traffic instructions. Failure to depart within 20 minutes of the starting signal constitutes abandonment, and failure to complete within the specified time results in no completion certificate.
  •  
  • 3. Wearing a helmet is mandatory, and the helmet must display a race number sticker. Failure to wear a helmet or lack of a race number sticker on the helmet will result in disqualification and denial of access to the finish line.
  •  
  • 4. Please adhere to the principles of fair competition and refrain from cheating by taking shortcuts, drafting, or carrying passengers. Participants found engaging in such behaviors will not be issued completion certificates and will not have their times recorded.
  •  
  • 5. Ensure you get sufficient rest and have breakfast two hours before the event to avoid riding on an empty stomach and risking energy depletion. If you feel unwell, stop the race immediately.
  •  
  • 6. The race officials or medical personnel have the authority to halt participation based on the participant's physical condition, and no objections will be entertained. Participants are responsible for any accidents that occur during the race.
  •  
  • 7. Participants with a history of heart disease, vascular disease, diabetes, or other relevant medical conditions should not participate in the event.
  •  
  • 8. Participants agree that the organizer may broadcast, exhibit, or publish event-related materials worldwide.
  •  
  • 9. No order booklets will be provided; please read the official website's handbook and notes carefully.
  •  
  • 10. Participant's personal information will be used for event-related purposes such as contact, identification, statistics, insurance, and may also be used to inform about subsequent cycling events.
  •  
  • 11. Safety comes first; if feeling unwell, stop riding immediately and seek assistance from volunteers to return to the venue. Please carry identification documents with you.
  •  
  • 12. Participants must bring their own bicycles for the event, and the organizer will not be responsible for bicycle storage. Bicycles must be equipped with complete front and rear brakes, and the use of "PET
  • bottles" as water bottle racks is prohibited.
  •  
  • 13. Please refrain from lingering on the racecourse before and after the finish line; if taking photos, proceed to the designated photo area after the finish line.
  •  
  • 14. Participants must abide by the event regulations and agree to all provisions. Event-related information will be published on the event registration website, and the organizer reserves the right to supplement and revise the regulations at any time.
